My 2026 Fitness & Wellness Routine, Workouts, Supplements, and Everyday Favorites

It’s that time of year again. January always feels like a natural reset, getting back into routines, moving our bodies, and focusing on health and fitness after the holidays. Every year around this time, I like to share an updated fitness and wellness post because I get asked all the time what I do, how I work out, and what supplements I take.

I’m 52 and postmenopausal, so my focus now is on staying strong, feeling good, and keeping things sustainable, not extreme. This post is simply a look at what’s working for me right now, my workouts, the supplements I use, and a few of my favorite food and snack options. What works for me may not work for you, but I love sharing because so many of us are navigating similar seasons and goals.

As always, please consult with your physician or healthcare provider before starting anything new. I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist. I’m just a mom who loves fitness, wellness, and sharing what I’ve learned with other women along the way!

My Daily Supplement Routine (In order that I take them)

These are the supplements I take every single day and consider non negotiable for my health, energy, and fitness, especially in this phase of life. I’m sharing them in the exact order I take them each day so you can see how they fit into a real routine. This isn’t about taking everything, it’s about consistency with what actually works for me.

My Daily Yu Cocktail

This is my daily supplement drink and something I take consistently to support energy, workouts, digestion, and overall wellness. I mix this up once a day and sip it either post workout or mid morning, depending on how the day flows. It’s an easy way to stack several essentials together without taking a handful of pills. What’s in my daily cocktail and why I use it:

Morning Supplements (Taken With Food)

These are the supplements I take in the morning with food to support energy, hair health, cellular health, and overall daily nutrition. I keep this part of my routine very consistent and focus on quality over quantity. These are supplements I’ve stuck with because they support how I feel, how I train, and how I recover. What I take and why:

  • Qunol Mega Ubiquinol – Taken in the morning with food, supports cellular energy, heart health, and overall energy production, especially helpful as we age and natural CoQ10 levels decline
  • Nutrafol Women’s Balance – Taken daily with food, four capsules total per day, I take two in the morning and two in the evening. Supports hair growth and thickness while addressing stress, hormone changes, and aging related hair concerns
  • Core Med Science Liposomal Glutathione – Taken daily in the morning, supports antioxidant protection, detox pathways, immune health, and overall cellular support
  • Ritual Essential for Women 50+ Multivitamin – Taken daily with food, provides foundational nutrients tailored for women over 50, supports bone health, brain health, and overall wellness without unnecessary fillers

*You need to consult your doctor prior to adding any of vitamins and/or suppliments.

Digestion Support

  • JSHealth Detox + Debloat – Used as needed, supports digestion and helps reduce occasional bloating and digestive discomfort as part of a balanced routine
  • Enzymedica GlutenEase – Taken when I know I’m going to eat a meal that includes gluten. Supports digestion of gluten containing foods and helps with occasional bloating or discomfort

Evening Supplements (Taken about a hour before bedtime)

These are the supplements I take in the evening as part of my nighttime routine. This stack is focused on winding down, recovery, and consistency. As with everything I share, these are simply what I use and what works for me.

  • Organixx Magnesium 7 – Taken in the evening, this is part of my nightly routine to support relaxation and overall wellness
  • Nutrafol Women’s Balance – Requires four capsules per day, I take two in the morning and two in the evening as part of my routine
  • AlgaeCal Plus – Taken at night, this is part of my routine to support bone health as I get older
  • Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega – Taken in the evening, this is the omega-3 supplement I personally use as part of my daily routine
  • Double Wood L-Theanine – Taken in the evening, this is something I use to help support a calm, relaxed wind-down before bed

Nighttime Sleep Support (Right Before Bed)

These are a few simple things I use shortly before bed to help me wind down and create a calm sleep routine. I focus on gentle support and consistency rather than anything intense. This routine helps signal to my body that it’s time to rest and fully unplug for the night. What I use and why:

  • Seven Minerals Pure Magnesium Oil Spray – Applied topically before bed, helps support relaxation and muscle comfort as part of a nighttime wind down routine
  • Pure Encapsulations Melatonin SR (Slow Release) – Taken before bed as needed. I prefer a slow release melatonin because it provides a more gradual release over time rather than a big, immediate hit. This supports a steadier sleep routine and feels gentler for overnight rest
  • Silk Sleep Mask – Used every night to block out all light and create a dark sleep environment. This one is incredibly soft and doesn’t press on my eyes or mess up my lashes, which makes it comfortable to wear all night

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

I also want to include that hormone replacement therapy is part of my current wellness routine. I started HRT in early 2025 after working with my doctor and deciding it was the right choice for me at this stage of life. I’m sharing this here simply as part of the full picture of what I currently do for my health and wellness.

HRT is just one piece of my overall approach alongside workouts, nutrition, supplements, sleep, and lifestyle habits. It’s a very personal decision and looks different for everyone. This is not advice or a recommendation, just transparency around what works for me and what I personally include in my routine.

What I currently use as part of my doctor managed HRT plan:

  • Estradiol transdermal patch, used as prescribed
  • Oral progesterone, taken as prescribed
  • Compounded testosterone cream, used as prescribed

My Favorite Workout

My favorite workouts continue to be FASTER Way to Fat Loss workouts. They’re about 30 minutes and include a warm up and cool down, which makes them easy to fit into my day.

I no longer track my macros because I know what works for me through experience. If you’ve never tracked macros before, I highly recommend it. Learning your personal macros can be incredibly helpful, and that’s something this program supports.

They also offer meal plans if that’s something you like. I’ve never been a meal plan person, but I know many people love having everything planned out for them. Another benefit is accountability. You’re paired with a personal coach and an accountability group, which can be helpful if you like structure and support. At this point, I personally just use the workouts because I enjoy them so much. You can find my honest review with progress photos from when I initially started this program HERE!

High-Protein On-The-Go Snacks

These are my all-time favorite protein bars and the best tasting ones I’ve found. They honestly taste like a cookie, are made with really good ingredients, and are my go-to high-protein snack when I’m on the go.

15% off Code: EVERYDAYHOLLY

Runners up – These are both plant based protein bars and taste much better than other protein bars made of good-for-you ingredients, but not quite as tasty as my favorite G2G Bars.

These are both great high-protein option that are taste great!

High-Protein Dessert Drinks

When you combine these two, it tastes just like a root beer float. One of my favorite high-protein dessert-style drinks. Delish!

This one tastes just like strawberry Nestlé Quik from childhood, but with high protein. I love this as a sweet treat or dessert.
