My Daily Supplement Routine: Health, Wellness, and Recovery

I get asked all the time about my supplement routine, what I take, when I take it, and what’s actually worth it, so I wanted to put everything in one place and share what my current routine looks like.

Over the years, my approach to wellness has really shifted. I’m not focused on doing everything; I’m focused on doing what works. At this stage, it’s about supporting my energy, gut health, recovery, and overall longevity in a way that feels sustainable and realistic for everyday life. I’ve simplified my routine and become more intentional with what I’m taking, choosing supplements that truly make a difference in how I feel day to day.

I’m 52 and postmenopausal, so my priorities have evolved. I want to feel strong, energized, and supported, not depleted or overwhelmed. This routine is built around that, supporting my workouts, my recovery, and my overall health as I get older.

My Daily YU Cocktail

This is my daily supplement drink and something I take consistently to support energy, workouts, digestion, and overall wellness. I mix this up once a day and sip it either post-workout or mid-morning, depending on how the day flows. It’s an easy way to stack several essentials together without taking a handful of pills. Morning Supplements (Taken before food)

My morning routine is all about setting the tone for the day, and these are the supplements I reach for before I even think about breakfast. Each one has a specific purpose, whether it’s supporting gut health, hydration, or energy, and together they help me feel more balanced, consistent, and ready to take on the day.

Colostrum

I start every morning with colostrum, taking it on an empty stomach and dry scooping it as part of my routine.

It’s something I’ve added intentionally to support my gut health, especially the integrity of the gut lining, which plays such a big role in overall wellness. I’ve also noticed it helps with digestion and keeping things feeling balanced day to day.

I start every day with 22oz of water with chlorophyll liquid drops. I drink it during my morning workout.

It’s an easy habit that helps me start the day feeling refreshed, hydrated, and consistent with my routine.

Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega – Taken in the evening, this is the omega-3 supplement I personally use as part of my daily routine

Double Wood L-Theanine – Taken in the evening, this is something I use to help support a calm, relaxed wind-down before bed

Nighttime Sleep Support (Right Before Bed)

Staying on Track & Organized

I’m very consistent with my daily supplements because I truly prioritize feeling my best.

It’s a non-negotiable part of my routine, so I take them every single day, all year long, even when I’m traveling or out of my normal schedule. Having that consistency has made such a difference in how I feel overall.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

I also want to include that hormone replacement therapy is part of my current wellness routine. I started HRT in early 2025 after working with my doctor and deciding it was the right choice for me at this stage of life. I’m sharing this here simply as part of the full picture of what I currently do for my health and wellness.

HRT is just one piece of my overall approach alongside workouts, nutrition, supplements, sleep, and lifestyle habits. It’s a very personal decision and looks different for everyone.
